Once the temporary foreign workers complete 2 years of their work in Canada qualify to apply for permanent residency under the Canadian experience class. Once they have their permanent residency and on completing their 3 years i.e. 1,095 days of residency under the permanent resident status in Canada, they can be eligible to apply for the Canadian Citizenship. Candidates do not need to have lived in Canada for 3 years continuously. This residence may have breaks, as far as an individual has lived for the 1,095 days they can be eligible to apply for the Canadian Citizenship.
